As we have in the past for natural disasters that have occured in Haiti and Japan, the WRDSB has launched a “Because We Care” campaign to support those who are suffering in the Phillipines. Students will be bringing home a letter on Thursday, November 28, with information on how families can make a donation through the Waterloo Education Foundation Inc., which will be forwarded to the Canadian Red Cross and the Mennonite Central Committee. To donate, go to http://www.wrdsb.ca/wefi/ , or click the “Donate Online!” box on the right hand side of this webpage, and select “Because We Care” in the drop down menu under “Your Donation Will Support”.
