the WRDSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) is excited to announce our fourth annual parent symposium, Building Skills to Navigate the School Years on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 at Bluevale Collegiate. The event sessions will include a keynote address by Lesley Andrew, Canadian Singer, Actress and Motivational Speaker, entitled “Overcoming Obstacles and Beating the Odds” and workshops throughout the day that focus on Raising Money Smart Kids, Anxiety in Children, Nurturing the Scientist in Your Family, Homework: What Really Matters, plus many more. All parents and guardians of WRDSB children are invited to attend. This is a FREE event for the attendees and we estimate registration of 350 people. Free childcare will be provided for the day.
