Disconnecting From Work for WRDSB Staff
As part of a strategy to support and encourage all Ontarians in achieving greater work-life balance, the province passed the Working for Workers Act in December 2021. In support of this, WRDSB has developed the Disconnecting from Work Protocol. This protocol:
- Sets parameters for employees’ availability (e.g., responding to emails)
- Supports a positive shift in our organizational culture
WRDSB also values and has set expectations for respectful dialogue as outlined in the process for addressing concerns.

Accessibility on WRDSB Websites
We’re committed to ensuring that the ways in which we communicate with the students, families and caregivers we serve are accessible for all. With this in mind, we’re excited to share a new tool we’re using to help make WRDSB websites more accessible.
The new AccessiBe accessibility interface has been launched on our main website and secondary school websites. You can access it by clicking on the icon you see in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. This tool will make accessibility modifications to our websites based on your individual needs.
